UnLock is a program for experienced professionals (5+ years) who have the skills, aptitude, and desire to be in a customer facing sales role, but have never sold before. When you’ve established yourself in a particular career and discovered it’s not for you, it can be hard to make a career change. If you’ve always wanted to get into sales but didn’t know how, UnLock is for you.
UnLock is a multi-month training program focused on developing sales fundamentals, learning about LinkedIn products and processes, and gaining industry knowledge of the customer base you will be supporting. Upon completion of the program you have the opportunity to be given a book of business and to start selling.
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about selling, about helping our customers solve their problems and attain their goals, are solid communicators, have a strong interest in continuing to learn and grow, and are willing to put in the work. When will the next UnLock cohort start?
There are typically two UnLock cohorts per year. We hope to open up applications for the next cohort during the summer of this year.
Where will the next UnLock cohort be located?
The location of openings for future cohorts is determined by business line demand.
Does the program take place in the same city as the “position” being offered?
The UnLock program is taught virtually. The hiring manager for each position will make the decision if they are open to remote and/or you need to be located in the city as the position being offered.
Will UnLock program participants be compensated?
Yes, we offer compensation packages for all program participants.
How long is the program?
The UnLock program is several months and includes instructor-led classroom training, role plays, and real customer interactions.
What do you look for in a potential UnLock candidate?
We look for people who have a strong desire to sell and are motivated to pursue a career in sales. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, goal-oriented, coachable, and has the grit and resilience to weather the ups and downs of sales.
What are the requirements to apply?
Candidates must have at least 5 years of professional experience. The UnLock program is meant for people who are considering making a career change into sales so a requirement is that someone cannot have sold before.
